Calgary is in desperate need of more visual arts production spaces. A city that exhibits work is only end-product oriented. Providing affordable production space keeps the creative wheels turning in the communities where those studios are located. More studio crawls during various arts festivals in the city. We need to bring our audience into the production end of things where artists can talk to their audience about their processes and ideas, not just end products.
