A city's culture is largely influenced by the food that grows there, how it's cooked and how it's shared. So we need more LOCALLY PRODUCED FOOD! A community garden is an excellent place for not only great food to be grown, but for ideas to be shared, relationships to be made and culture to be celebrated! Think of this: a community garden marketplace with local foods, musicians, visual artists, etc. all coming together ...more »

Making cultural planning part of city operations would have a positive impact on ...more »

These single people don't sleep, they are musician, bohemian, creative, artsy, young, they will add action and life to the Core. Create a cell phone application that keeps users informed on all upcoming events in Calgary, with minute by minute updates! Calgary has a lot to offer but most people are too unaware because we have minimal media outlets. We need to build a free app that can inform the population. Proposed over the years in City Council was the idea of having a "bridge" between the core and the Beltline. If I were to think in terms of building a civic legacy and had dollars at my disposal, I'd create a terraced park space over a block of the CP rail lines. For discussion sake, let's say between 4th and 5th Street, tying downtown culture with the walkable 11th Ave design district, 17th Ave nightlife, and 4th Street ...more »
