I would put things such as: Glenbow Museum, Inglewood district, Fort Calgary, Heritage Park, Calgary Zoo, Nose Hill Park, (once it's finished) Science Center, Olympic Plaza, Prince's Island, Kensington, Bowness Park, Stephen Avenue, and whatever historical landmarks we haven't torn down yet.
Make the idea with community input, give them a voice, give them a chance to speak passionately about what they think is something to be proud of in Calgary. If a place falls out of interest, by neglect or poor management, feel free to update the list as the years go by, and don't spent a lot of money, put up a plaque in front of them, that's it, put the rest of the info online.
